Located in the Ritz-Carlton, Cast and Plow serves American fare, fine wines, and handcrafted cocktails. Their outdoor patio provides incredible views of the harbor and the sunset. For poolside dining, Salt Restaurant at the Marina del Rey Hotel is a chic restaurant and bar hosting Sunday pool parties.
Things to Do
In Marina del Rey, you’ll find boat owners cruising the marina or sailing out along the coast. Mother’s Beach is a popular public beach for sunbathing, swimming, or boat watching. You’re always sure to spot sea lions in the water or sunbathing themselves near one of the boats docked in the harbor. It’s also a launch-off point for stand-up paddle boarding, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, and seasonal whale-watching. In the evenings, there are yachts that go out for sunset tours.
Burton Chase Park is a 10-acre public park with picnic tables and paved walking trails by the water. In the summer, the Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series hosts movie nights and outdoor concerts. It’s also a great place to watch the Marina del Rey 4th of July Fireworks.
To kick off the Christmas season, the Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade showcases boats decorated with Christmas lights, followed by fireworks. On Sundays, the Marina del Rey Farmers’ Market has local produce, fresh meat, and artisanal vendors.
